MALA launching NEW trainings

Michigan Assisted Living Association is excited to announce the launch of its new learning management tool, the MALA Lifelong Learning and Resource Center. This innovative resource provides easy access to training programs, laws, regulations and best practices for Providers and their staff.

In collaboration with Instructional Technology Services, Inc. (ITS), MALA has developed a practical training solution for its members. It starts with a branded training portal website run on a Content Management System that allows for MALA to control what resources are available for different types of users (e.g. direct support staff, managers and administrators). The training site will also serve to provide timely updates on proposed laws, regulations and policies at a state and federal level.

Public and member users can search through a catalog of training programs for all types of residential and assisted living services. The programs cover a broad range of topics including health and safety, regulatory compliance, risk management and general technology.

MALA had this to say about partnering with ITS:

“It is so energizing to have this valuable resource now available to MALA members” – Kathleen Murphy, MALA General Counsel

“ITS helped us think about training in a new way and kept us focused” – Brenda Roberts, MALA Director of Quality Assurance and Education

It’s not about the details. It’s about creating an experience for our clients and their audience. MALA is a great partner because it knows that the journey is worth just as much as the destination.
